My Top Five Makeup Must Haves
Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wands
I can't rave about these enough. I have one for contour/bronzer, blusher and highlighter and they're so easy to work with. I usually stay away from cream products because I find them hard to blend but anything Charlotte Tilbury I love because each product is designed to work with each other. Plus with these a little goes a long way, especially with the contour wand so you can start up light and then gradually build up. They also work with both fingers and brushes, so for the contour and blush I actually blend it with a brush but use my fingers for the highlight. Love them, they are key for getting that Charlotte Tilbury glowy skin look.
Nars Sheerglow Foundation
This is the best 'everyday foundation' I've used, and have done for just under a year now. If you have dry skin you'll love this because it does have a gorgeous dewy glow to it, and doesn't cling to dry patches! It's a light - medium coverage which can be built up to a gorgeous medium coverage without looking thick and cakey on your face. It doesn't seem to oxidise either which is amazing because I have PTSD of MAC Studio Fix turning me orange throughout the day. I wear shade Punjab which seems to suit me both with and without fake tan on.
Rimmel Brow Mascara
Not everything needs to be high end! 'Drugstore' products are way more improved than they used to be back in the day. Remember the days of Dream Matte Mousse foundation? Yikes. But I am yet to find a better brow mascara than my little Rimmel one. It's a great colour, has amazing staying power and the brush is the perfect size! I've tried higher end ones but always gone back to this. But I think this is such a makeup bag staple because brows shape your face so well. So if I'm doing just face makeup, I'll always do my brows to shape my eye area.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Powder
Honestly I don't think I could ever use anything else, this is just so genius. It really does make your skin look flawless, but amazingly-so on camera. I don't know what hidden technology is in this but I'm here for it. And in classic Charlotte Tilbury form it has a gorgeous glow within it, it's not a flat matte powder. I use this all over my face, sometimes under my eyes but I prefer to use Laura Mercier there. I wear shade two which is perfect for fake tan and when I'm paler. If you want to look flawless on a night out or in photos... you need this!
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
I wanted to keep this a mix of brands but this is really my OG top five list! I slept on this concealer for so long because I thought it was overpriced and Maybelline did the same version, but I was so wrong. Maybelline do a good version, but they are just not on the same level. This one has amazing coverage, so I can just dab it on my face under eyes, on spots etc and then add a bit of Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter and I'm good to go. Which for someone with spot prone and acne scared skin - I never thought would be a thing! I wear shade Custard which is brilliant for a bright under eye when I'm tanned, but then also a natural colour for when I'm less tanned. Plus, I blend this with my fingers and it melts into the skin so well.
