7 Spring Pick - Me - Ups For Every Wardrobe
Here's my mini edit of Spring pieces that I'm currently loving or saving up for. There's something in this edit for everyone and I've captured a selection of my favourite sustainable brands so that we can make a more conscious effort when shopping this season. Links are affiliate links.
Three female ex-executives at Warehouse and Oasis have joined together to create Albaray, a fashion brand with sustainability in mind. The brand is targeted towards 25 year olds+ who want to shop consciously but at an affordable price. The collection is now available on JohnLewis.com and will be available in 5 John Lewis shops from 12 April.
These GANNI Tees just add an extra pop to any 'jeans and nice top' outfit. Pair with blue straight jeans and a beige blazer for the perfect spring look, or a leather jacket for those colder days. Then transition into high summer with some denim shorts, white trainers and sunnies. For sustainability lovers; GANNI measures the carbon footprint of every item on the product Climate Compensated label, showing they've covered the cost to make that footprint carbon neutral.
VEJA Venturi Sneakers
If I had to choose a most worn trainer right now, it would be these. The Venturi is the perfect compromise of a chic trainer and chunky trainer. So for those who are unsure about tapping into the chunky trainer trend, this one is for you. Wear with your favourite spring midi dress for a picnic in the park, or sporty leggings and a bomber jacket for an upgrade on sports luxe. For those who don't know, VEJA shoes are made from sustainable and recycled materials, such as recycled plastic bottles and sourced glue.
H&M Oversized Trench
I've been on lookout for the perfect trench and after over a year of waiting, I finally found it thanks to H&M. Perfect for me this trench is made from recycled polyester and coloured by We aRe SpinDye®, meaning water consumption is reduced by 75%, chemical usage by 90% and energy consumption is cut by 30%, resulting in 30% lower CO2 emissions (source). As it's oversized the sizing runs large, I wear an XS/S.
Crocs (yes, really)
Here me out here, 2021 is the return of the Croc and shockingly I'm very much involved. I'm involved to the point where I'm even considering ordering the little charms that go with. I'm visioning wearing them with nike socks, blue straight jeans and an oversized white tee for my little stroll down to the park, or garden BBQ with 6 people. Honestly, they're a vibe.
When I found out that Girlfriend Collective was launching on JohnLewis.com, I refreshed the page every week waiting for the collection to drop. Made from recycled bottles, these are a great eco alternative to the big brands like Lulu Lemon and Sweaty Betty.
Monki Cat Eye Sunglasses
One of my favourite things about Spring is that (hopefully) the sunnier weather means you can sunglasses to your outfits. I love these playful cat eye ones from Monki that just add a little bit of fun to my face. Because I have a small every so slightly square head, I struggle to get sunglasses that look good - but these are perfect.
